Her name will be Theodora.

As the boy stared at the girl, he could only pity her. No matter how he tried to play with the the child, she was not responding.

"Reuben!" Someone shouted from outside.

He was surprised someone could come here by this time and more surprised that his name was being called.

"Who's that?" He wondered.

"Reuben!" The voice became clearer and he immediately recognised his mother's voice.

"Mom!" He said and ran timidly to the down stairs. He ran out of the castle and his mother saw him.

"Where are you coming from?" His mother asked as she bent to his height.

"From that castle. A little baby Is there. She is so cute and doesn't even seems to have strength. Mom take her with us, please." He said sadly and his mother was shocked.

"This castle?" His mother said. She remembered she watched some news on their TV before she left California in the noon about a mysterious child who cried and the people in the town died, but she wasn't sure if it was real.

"Let's not go back into that place." She said frighteningly, having an ominous feeling about the castle.

"Mom, why? She could die anytime soon." He said with his childlike voice and his mother couldn't resist him.

"Reuben, the child is dangerous."

"The child you've never met. How could a small girl like her be dangerous? Mom please." He begged.

"I am not taking her with me. That's final." She stood on her words.

"Mom, then just feed her milk please. She is hungry." He pleaded and was near to cry.

"How do you know, Reuben?"

His mother eventually followed him into the castle.

They got into the castle and she saw the milk that was there in the feeder. It wasn't covered at all.

"This is unhealthy, Reuben. How do you expect a little girl like her or anybody to drink that uncovered milk?"

Reuben felt sad and looked around if he is going to see another means. He eventually saw a sachet of powder milk.

"Mom, see." He pointed at it.

Jane couldn't reject her son's offer looked for a bottle of of water and she mixed the milk with water. She fed the baby and pet her. When she eventually slept, she laid her on her crib.

"Can we go now?"

"Mom she's going to be all alone?"

"But there is nothing I'm going to do about it." Jane said.

"Let's take her back with us."

"No. LET US GO, REUBEN!" His mother said harshly and he dropped the idea and walked forward sadly.

They were walking out of the castle when they met Mary.

"Who are you?"She asked them fiercely.

"We came to attend to the baby. You abandoned her all alone, it's bad."Jane said.

Mary didn't talk and felt guilty the more. How could she live a day old baby all alone? If not that her daughter called her, she wouldn't leave the innocent girl.

She blamed her father in her head and wondered how a father could abandon his own child.

"I'm sorry. And thanks for taking care of her." Mary said with tears.

"You are welcome."

"Aunty what's her name?" Reuben asked.

Mary was shocked because the girl never had a name.

"We haven't named her." She said with a smile.

"Can I name her?" He asked.

"Sure." Mary agreed. She didn't think she has name in her head to give her.

"She should be Theodora." He said with a smile.

"Huh?" Jane and Mary said simultaneously and wondered how he got the name.

"Her name is Theodora because she is a gift from God." He said with a smile.

Jane couldn't help but smile on how wise his son is.

"Let's hurry, it's almost 6 am. So, I'll be able to catch the early morning bus to California." Jane said.

They bid each other farewell while Mary entered the house. She was moved to tears as she saw the innocent girl smiling in her sleep.

"I'm sorry. Your parent failed you, I shouldn't do that too. I will be your mother till you grow up." She said.

"Who said so? Ahhhhhhh!" The spirit woman laughed hysterically.

She won't be saying this, if she knew what the future has in plan for her.
