A loud curse from Hu Feng echoed through the air as he watched Su Han in peril. "It's this time, and you're still pretending!"
Zhang Hai joined his friend in desperation, adding frantically: "It's not necessary? With such a distance, if we don't make a move soon, you'll be killed by the fangs porcupine!"
The two figures erupted with power from the dragon blood realm and raced towards Su Han before it was too late. But just when they were about to reach him, their expressions changed!
The tusk porcupine kept charging forward but its impact had weakened significantly and eventually fell down to the ground at the feet of Su Han.
"What?"
"Already... already dead?"
Hu Feng and Zhang Hai got closer and detected the tusk porcupine had stopped breathing.
"How can this be?" Pang Qing questioned, disbelief on his face. He thought he saw a spear barely grazing past the tusk porcupine.
Su Han responded calmly: "The passing you see is because the speed of my spear was too fast. Actually, my spear stayed in the body of the tusk porcupine for a while, but your reaction was too slow to detect it."
Pang Qing stared at Hu Feng in wonder, who whispered back an affirmative after feeling uncomfortable under Su Han's gaze.
"Now do you understand why I said about your shortcomings?" Su Han reminded Hu Feng of his earlier comment. Hu Feng's cheeks flushed red with embarrassment as he realized why Su Han was right.
He glanced at the lifeless corpse of the tusk porcupine and exhaled deeply in awe before admitting defeat. "I understand now."
He scrutinized the tusk porcupine, noticing no visible wounds on its body, yet a gush of red liquid spewed from its mouth. Before he could process what had happened, he saw the spear pierce directly into the creature's maw and rip through its insides like a tornado of destruction. The spear flew out behind the animal and plunged into the ground with unfathomable speed and force. The guard team collectively gasped, gaping in awe of Su Han's power.
Hu Feng could clearly see that if Su Han used his full strength to tackle the tusk porcupine, he could probably match up to Su Han's level of skill - but Su Han was only at the Dragon Vein Realm! A mere six dragon veins!
"Master Su Han... isn't this too powerful?"
"Well, I thought Mr. Su Han was just pretending, but I didn't expect him to be so strong."
The guards spewed their admiration in a crescendo of exaltations until they were abruptly silenced by Su Han's stern and icy voice: "Stop farting now?" His iciness focused on Su Mingxuan and Su Minghui as he coldly declared them two trash. Monsters are usually much stronger than humans at the same level; usually it took more than nine dragon veins and usage of dragon skills to defeat a first-level monster - yet with only six dragon veins, Su Han made short work of it.
The two of them felt like they were about to bleed from their eyes when they heard Su Han's words. It was as though a giant palm had slapped them across the face, an unbearable humiliation.
Pang Qingchao could only clasp his fists to pay respect to Su Han as he recognized the vast difference in power between them. He had always thought of the younger generation of the Su family as mere flowers sheltered in a greenhouse - something unimportant and beneath his notice.
Hu Feng approached Su Han hesitantly and apologized for their earlier behaviour before asking how Su Han had managed to show such speed and strength with only six dragon veins coursing through him.
Su Han calmly replied that it was because he had already reached the Dragon God Realm - a realm that Hu Feng knew deep down he would likely never reach within his lifetime.
The realms of the Longwu Continent, from low to high, became visible in Hu Feng's mind: Dragon Vein Realm, Dragon Blood Realm, Dragon Spirit Realm, Dragon Pill Realm, Dragon God Realm, Dragon Emperor Realm, and Dragon Venerable Realm - each one seemingly farther away than the last.
An unsettling rumble shook the atmosphere as everyone watched in awe. A dust cloud mushroomed from the horizon, obscuring the brightness of the sun and plunging the area into darkness. Su Han remained silent, his expression emotionless as he glanced around at the astonished faces surrounding him.
"Dragon God Realm?" Pang Qing thought to himself, his eyes widening in disbelief. Could it be that Su Han, who was only at the Dragon Vein Realm before, had already reached the level of being able to fight against those in the early stages of Dragon Blood Realm?
Su Minghui and Su Mingxuan scoffed inwardly, rolling their eyes at Su Han's audacious claims. How could he possibly achieve such a feat?
The tension hung thick in the air as everyone waited with bated breath for what would come next.
With an expression of dread, Pang Qing shouted,"Not good!" Everyone's faces paled, and they knew the danger they were in. There was dust rising in the distance - a sign that a horde of monsters were coming closer and closer.
"Back! Back!!!" Pang Qing roared desperately. Su Han's heart sank as he realized this was his first experience in the Monster Mountain Range - and it wasn't going to be pretty. The group scrambled to flee but their movements seemed pitifully slow compared to the monstrous stampede galloping towards them. Then came the roar and howls that sent shivers down their spines. In horror, everyone watched as countless huge figures approached...
