One evening after work, Kambili went to see his uncle. In his house his uncle was seated in the living room. Kambili greeted him and sat down.

"My son, you are welcome."

"Thank you, sir."

"How is work going?"

"Fine thank God sir."

Kambili was mute

"My son, you can't continue like this. I understand the pains you are going through but you need to move on with your life. you can't continue like this You are gradually losing yourself."

"I will be fine sir."

"You need to get another wife. It will help you get over this misery. I will look out for a good girl for you if you can't find one."

"Don't worry sir I'll get one myself."

"Ok, make sure you do and inform me about your plans."

"Alright, sir."

She had visited him a couple of times to sympathize with him and there was a time she offered to make food for him but Kambili didn't allow her to stay too long or even cook for him.

So Kambili decided to give the lady a chance.

Kambili was coming back from work one Friday evening when he saw her coming. He stopped his car beside her and they exchanged pleasantries.

He requested to see her any time she is free. The lady was so happy.

She didn't hesitate to go. The following day, she left for Kambili's house.

He was mopping the floor when she knocked and entered.

She greeted him and quickly collected the mop stick from him and started mopping the floor. After that she made food and they both ate.

They got to know each other more. Afterwards, she left.

Later on, the girl continued visiting him from time to time. She promised to help him get over his pains.
