"Hey." I look up, startled as Erin sits on the bed next to me. "What's wrong?" I give a weak smile, not really sure how to respond. "Hey, Beck, forget those two idiots. Boys will be boys-" I finish with her, "and boys are stupid." She smiles, "Exactly." I turn on the bed until we are sitting face to face.
"You think I'm overreacting." It wasn't a question. She shakes her head. "No. I think you're over worked and over stressed." And she squints at me suspiciously, "And underfed." I laugh, only slightly surprised that she knows me so well. "There's nothing to forgive. And nothing to say. But I did leave Mac in charge out there, so we might want to skip to the part where you say how amazing I am and go rushing back out there." I laugh again and look her dead in the eyes, "You my dear, are amazing. Thank you."
