CHAPTER:12

I voiced my concern about my parents not allowing me, to which he responded with confidence, "Of course, they will. I know they've always wanted what's best for you." I hesitated but said, "They care for me more than anything, yet I always manage to hurt them with my harsh words. I'll apologize as soon as we get to my home for everything I said today."

With this conversation, we headed to college together in his car. We engaged in casual chatter on the way, and before I knew it, we had arrived at our college campus. He parked, and we walked together through the main hallway. We happened upon my friends, and I shared the news that Louis would also be joining us on the trip. They were surprised since they hadn't known earlier; he had booked his ticket on his own the day before. We went our separate ways to our respective departments, and I joined my friends.

Once classes were finally over, which felt like an eternity, we discussed the details of our upcoming get-together at the airport lounge for our trip tomorrow. As I made my way out of the building, Louis was waiting for me. He opened the front door of his car for me, and as I settled in and fastened my seatbelt, he asked, "Hey, do you need any supplies for the trip?" I pondered for a moment before replying, "Yeah, I think I do. I completely forgot. I texted my parents that I'll be running late as I'm going shopping with you." They responded with a message advising me to be safe, and if I needed anything, I could rely on Louis or call them.

I thanked them and received a heart emoji in return, which brought a smile to my face. While I was texting them, we arrived at the mall. I waited as Louis parked the car, and then we both entered the mall to gather the necessary items. We grew tired, so we took a break, having some snacks and coffee to relieve our fatigue and headaches. Realizing the time, we hurriedly collected our supplies and left the mall. It was getting late, and we were on our way back.
