XVI. That’s why I don’t rush everything for you

When they arrived home, Luigi immediately said goodbye and left, still feeling the fear of his mistake. It made her wonder, was President Braun so strict with his staff that they trembled in fear when they made a mistake?

“What do you want to eat?” he asked her as they headed to their room.

She thought for a moment. She wanted something to eat but was shy to tell him. It seemed excessive for him to take care of her meals.

I should be the one asking you that.

“Uhm, I’ll prepare—”

“Uh-uh, you need to take a rest. What you did today was no joke,” he said, interrupting her.

He opened the door to their shared room and let her go in first. Though surprised and momentarily stunned, she managed to step into the room.

Shouldn’t he be the one to rest since he probably did a lot in his office?

“Do you want to shower with me?” he asked her.

“Huh?” she responded in surprise, but when she saw the twinkle of mischief in his eyes, she blushed and looked down.
