Elara realized how a fish would have felt when she was trapped in the net. She was still in the water yet she could not leave the trap. Slowly she witnesses how the fisherman takes her away from her house, and her lands and traps her in a foreign world. How she slowly loses her life and dies struggling.
Elara felt like that fish at that moment. She wanted to hurl profanities at him and call him cruel but what would change?
If he dug in, he would know who she was and a man like him would not think twice before selling her to those goons. He had sold Killian to them that fateful day, so he must be in their contact already. She could not take the chance.
"I agree!" The words felt like charcoal burning her tongue, her mouth, and her skin but she bore it and looked away.
The man laughed as if he could sense her struggles. And then signaled her to come closer. She walked with the speed of a snail with her stoic face and stopped a foot away from him.
