An Intentional Accident

"They said the second lord knows her. We could fetch a great price." The man snorted and then looked at Bella again and found her staring at them.

His gaze flickered and a sinister smile twisted his lips,

"She is not even trained. Who would buy an insolent slave who stares back at them." Bella bowed her head immediately but the man had already reached for the door and opened it.

He walked to her slowly, reveling in her fears, her anxiety like a predator enjoying playing with its prey before harming it.

He held her by her hair and pulled her with force…

"I always knew witches are beauties. But you have surpassed every last of them." licking his lips, he forced hard to see fear cower in her eyes. But met with defiance.

Meekness came hard to her. She could not value it; too many unkind people had tried to force it on her since she took birth. They had expected her to be cower, and so she had vowed never to be so.

But the perverse man enjoyed her defiance.

"You would be a toy I love to play with. Since you are already sent here. Who cares where you reach and where you end! After all, accidents do happen in these dark walls." he licked his lips with a seductive smile on his face.

"But sir Bernand.." the guard who had dragged her shifted his weight from one foot to another. Morgan must have paid him a hefty sum to make sure that she reached right hands.

But… that was not enough to keep her safe. She could see the thrill in the eyes of this vampire.. Bernand who had marked her as his prey.

"Enough for that!" Bernard hissed, "do not forget where your loyalty should lie.'' The man flinched, took a step back and bowed his head, ready to surrender when Bella frowned.

She scowled at the man making Bernand chuckle,

"Did you really think that he would save you? He did not have that much power darling! You have placed your bet on the wrong person."

He pushed her on the ground and placed his shoe on her chest. His heels dug into her skin and she winced. The man enjoyed the pain in her eyes. Pressing it more to hear the music of her screams.

"You are going to beg until I am done with you and then we will see if you are worth sending anywhere or should I keep you!" His voice had a strange obsession but when he thought she would cry and beg, she looked at him with a certain calmness that confused him, enraged him.

He kicked her stomach but she held it tightly and glared back making his brow rose. He crouched on the ground beside her.

The man leaned closer, sniffing her body. "Strange! You look covered in mud and dirt and your body smells like jasmine! Who would believe that you are a slave."

"If no one would  believe…" she whispered, making his eyes flicker again and his lips curling into a smirk, "then i should not act like one!"

"..." before he could ask what she meant.. Bella gave her a treacherous smile and her eyes started to darken until her sclera disappeared behind her dark pupils.

Her hair flew without breeze and her lips moved sinisterly. The eyes of the man widened, he tried to take a step back but as if his whole body had been frozen. He could not move! He opened his mouth to shout but no voice came out. Struggling was not an option, so he decided to beg but as if frozen, not a single muscle of his body moved.

Even his eyes or lips.. They.. you! What had happened to her.

The bracelet in her hands started to burn, leaving smoke, her wrist burnt, small flames rising and corroding her skin like molten lava but she did not turn to look at it. Her eyes kept staring at her mark until his eyes went heavy and he fell on the ground, limp.

The man gasped and came running to hold Bernand.

"What did you do? You witch! I ask.. What did you do?" he shouted at once but when he met her dark eyes, he took a step back horrified.

"Strange! You did not shout that loud when the man was forcing me." she whispered slowly but it stung the man.

He could feel prickles all over his skin as if ants were crawling on them.

"You can not kill me! If I die here, you are going to rot here. No one would come to save you. I.. I am your last hope." Bella stood up, the blood near her lips had dried yet the burning sensation of her wrist remained.

She stood in front of him and smiled,

"Then I hope you will not forget this moment, the pain I can inflict on you if you forgot your promise again." she blinked and all the pain in his body vanished.

He opened his eyes wide and touched his skin as if he was searching for the remnants of the pain but there wasn nothing. No reptiles, no ants or insects.

He looked at her aghast when she smirked…

"You do know where i need to go right?" the man nodded at once. Even if he had to put his life at stake, he was going to send her to the vampire lord.

He was the only man that could handle her and teach her a lesson.

"But what about him?" he pointed at Bernard, "he is one of the supervisors. Everyone would ask how he died. What am I supposed to say?" Bella raised her brow, and with a smirk she looked at his body as if enjoying his death.

The darkness in her eyes started to fade, her eyes were back to normal but her hand had many burnt marks. She had used her powers despite wearing a restraint..

"Did he not say that accidents happen here. How bad that he himself suffered one."
