Storm

Back in the states, Joana was tapping her foot vigorously on the tiles of her father's office. "What is it that you want, Joana? You could not even wait for my meeting to finish." Harrison mutters clearly annoyed with his daughter's sudden demand to see him. Even if he'll do anything to back her up, he knew she was the most spoiled girl living on earth.

"Daddy! I told you to convince Zephyr to come back early. Why is it that when I called him he says he's still busy. I do not was the gala to be move to another date!" She whines as her eyes almost teared up. "Joana! Who do you think you are commanding me, you father, to do something so absurd. You know Zephyr is a busy man and if you keep this attitude up, he'll end up not wanting you at all." Harrison's words stung like a bee but it was the truth. Everyone knew that Zephyr, CEO of The Knox Industry is a busy man. He didn't attend any fun events because of his constant meetings.

"Daddy, how could you say that?!" She screech as she heard her dad's outrageous theory. "If you want to meet him so bad, head to Paris. And try to convince him. A man like him wouldn't settle for love if it doesn't give him any profits." Harrison sarcastically says not knowing that his daughter would do just as he said.

As Joana busied herself while waiting in the plane, Zephyr was still captivated with the woman's beauty. He wanted to meet her again. He didn't know why but he prayed that he will soon. He sighed before realising he didn't even touch a single paper on his desk. The woman he met a while ago made him distracted after hours of their encounter. He decided he wants to rest before the flight back to his hometown. He plan on coming back here to relax again but apart of him knew he wanted to visit here again to meet Bethany.

Zephyr's thoughts were cut when Damien knocked on the door. "Sir, it's already eight o'clock at night. You should head back to the hotel. You have a lot to do tomorrow." Damien says making Zephyr agree. He knew he needed a break from thinking about Bethany. As if they held a real connection, which they don't. He knew it was wrong of him to think about another woman when all he should be focusing at is work...and Joana of course.

As he sits in his matte black Bentley, he passed by a beautifully decorated bakery. Unfortunately that wasn't what cought his eyes, in fact the woman inside readjusting stuff in it was the one that caught his eyes like a magnet. It was the perfect brunette he met earlier. He contemplates demanding the car to stop as he held onto his last rational thought and he continuesly calls Joana's name in his mind but it all came to stop when the car made a U-turn and he was even closer to her figure.

"Stop the car." His mouth orders the complete opposite of what his mind was screaming. Damien stops the car and turn to look at Zephyr from behind. "Is there something wrong, Sir?" He asks and before he could get an answer Zephyr opens the car door before walking out. "Make a few turns around the area if I call you, then wait for me here." Zephyr demands knowing that Damien would ruin the moment. Plus, there's something deep inside him that disagree firmly towards Damien meeting Bethany.

Zephyr could not deny that Damien was a handsome man. He was almost as tall as Zephyr and has brown hair opposite of him. Still, he knew Damien has his own fair share of admires. "Are you sure, Sir?" Damien asks not knowing why he stopped the car. "Just do as I say." With that Damien drove off leaving the suited man outside the bakery. He took a deep breath before walking in the bakery completely acting as if he didn't notice the brunette.

"Désolé monsieur. Nous fermons malheureusement." (Sorry, Sir. Unfortunately, we are closing.) The woman fluently spoke. "Oh, really? You sure you can't fit in just one more customer?" Zephyr find himself saying. The familiar voice made the woman looks up at him and smiles as he remembers him. "Oh, you're the man from the art museum." She says making him smile at her for remembering him. "Well, since I feel bad. Sure, I think I'm able to fit in one more person. Unless your order is a lot." She jokes making him chuckle. "Trust me, it won't be a lot." He looks around the bakery for the food he wants even though most of it are kept safely for the next day there are some left at the showcase area. "That looks good." He says looking at the croffle. "Oh, it is." She assures him making him smile brightly. She went to heat it up for him as he chose to wait at the counter mostly to be closer. What's the point of him stopping by if he'll end up waiting at the waiting area so far away from her. "I didn't think of you as a baker." He could never tell her but she gave him this luxury vibe that he thought she was a billionaire like him.

"Hahaha, I guess I don't scream baker with what I choose to wear on a daily basis. I just like to dress like that." She covers up. "You should sit at the table there. I'll get to you right away." At first the man didn't budge but he didn't know why the moment she turned to him to look with the puppy eyes of hers. He happily obliges. Not noticing how obedient he is becoming for the woman he had just met.

Just like she says his food came all hot and delicious with chocolate topping. Before she could go back to the kitchen to clean up he unconsciously grabs her arm and he was stunned to feel the delicate sking she has. It was the softest flesh he had ever laid hands on. "Sit with me." He plead making her chcukle before obliging.

"So, tell me about yourself." The woman says unexpectedly. He is sure she has known nothing about him or else she wouldn't let him be overly close to her. Everyone who knew him, knows Joana who is his girlfriend. At this moment he was thankful she didn't know his popular image.

"I'm working here temporarily." Zephyr says not wanting to tell her his work deeper. "Oh, really? I work here for a long time now but I'm thinking of going back to the states. It's been a while since I visited." She says making him smile. Maybe if he's lucky he could meet her again. "Oh? Really? I didn't expect you are from Sunset Doon." He said, she nodded her head before agreeing. "I am but I left a few years ago." He wanted to ask her why but he chose not to seeing how open she is with him so far and wouldn't want to ruin it. "Which city do you reside in back in the States?"

Her answer stunned him. "Starmoon City." It was the same as his. Now he really wished to see her again. He didn't know what made him so attracted to her presence. Suddenly they both heard a loud thunder as rain began hitting the glass wall. "Oh my, how are you going back now?" She asks as she observed the bad condition the weather was in.

Zephyr got a call from Damien. He was displeased that Damien had interrupt their time together but her voice calmed him down faster than he thought anybody could do.

"It's fine, you can take the call." She says calmly with an angelic voice. He smiled before walking to a corner of the bakery and picking up the call. "What?" He asks annoyed. "Sorry sir, but I'm stuck a bit far from your location. A tree fell down and blocked my way I had to stay at a near gas station since the way to reach your location is all blocked off." Damien says. He ran his fingers through his hair as he sighst thinking about his boss's safety.

"It's alright. Stay there until the storm ends. I'm safe." He says ending the call. Zephyr didn't know why but he was unknowingly pleased with what Damien just told him. At least he gets more time with Bethany. "Is everything alright?" She asks as she stood behind him. He looked back and smiled warmly at her. "Of course, everything is fine. I may need a place to stay for a while though. The storm had blocked my way back to my hotel." He says.

"Oh, well my store is supposed to close at this hour. It set that way. By midnight the doors will be locked automatically" She explained making him. He was disappointed but not because he would not have any place to stay but because she would have to leave before midnight too.

"Hey, don't be upset. You can stay at my house. It wasn't far from this bakery. My neighbourhood is near." She says as he nodded. Someone who knew his reputation would be shock to death if they saw him the way he's acting now. Like he is a child asking an angel for help.

They both got out of the store as Bethany locks the shop. "I think we need to run!" She screams over the loud raining sound. He nodded before grabbing her hand. You might think he didn't want to get lost as they run to her place but he knew deep down he just wanted to touch her.

They both ran in the rain. Finally arriving at her neighbourhood. Her house was really near her workshop. "Should've brought an umbrella." She laughs as she closes the door behind him. He laughs at her comment. She pushed her heels away as she ran to get towels. He couldn't help but admire her modern house. It was perfect for one to two people. It oddly gives him warmth more than his mansion back in the states.

"Here you go." She hands him a towel. "Thank you." He says as he admires her perfect wet figure. Her clothes doesn't reveal much of her body but she still look magnificent even with her hair wet. She dries her hair with the towel. "Wait here, let me see if there are any clothes matched with your size." She says as he nodded. He doubt there is judging by the difference of his and her size. He is ten times her size. His broad shoulders are no match for her cute petite ones.

He again took off his wet socks and his wet tie. His jacket was took off. Truly, being wet in clothes are really uncomfortable.

Zephyr went about looking around as he trail his fingers on her marble cupboard full of her framed pictures. He unknowingly smiled at that. His smile slowly drops as he began to notice the engagement ring on his finger. His tongue poked the insides of his cheeks as he took it off as if it is a sight that sores his eyes.

He stopped moving when he heard her behind him. Her hair dried up now as her outfit also changed. "Her you go. I've only got these." She says as she handed him the oversized t-shirt and matching sweatpants.

He thanked her before changing in the toilet she directed. The t-shirt managed to wrap tightly against his biceps and abs making it look little as it was stretched by his large manly figure. Thankfully, the sweatpants fit fine with his long legs.

He wonders if the clothes were hers that she accidentally bought or maybe it was her ex's. That thought oddly anger him. He shrugged it off as he heard her knock the door. "Is the clothes alright?" She asks.

"Yes, it's fine." He says opening the door as he faced her. Her cheeks tinted light pink making him smile at the sight. She must've noticed the tight shirt.

"Do you want some hot chocolate?"
