Chapter 7 : Will the truth be exposed?

As they made their way to the briefing room, Kelly caught up with them, her eyes shining with determination.

"Guys, I've been thinking," she said, her voice low. "I want to investigate Wesley and his friends further. I think there's something fishy going on."

Sage raised an eyebrow. "Kelly, we just talked about this. We don't know anything for sure."

Kelly's jaw set. "I know, but I have a feeling about this. And I'm going to get to the bottom of it."

Chase sighed. "Kelly, be careful. If you're wrong, you could end up looking pretty foolish."

Kelly's eyes flashed. "I'm not wrong, Chase. I know what I've seen. And I'm going to prove it."

As they entered the briefing room, their instructor, Ms. Nakamura, greeted them with a stern expression.

"Today's simulation will be a combat scenario," she announced. "You will be divided into teams and must work together to take down a series of enemies."

Kelly's eyes locked onto Wesley and his friends, who were standing across the room, looking confident as ever.

This was it, Kelly thought. This was her chance to prove that something was off about them. And she was going to take it.

As the simulation began, Kelly's team was paired against Wesley's team. Kelly's eyes narrowed as she watched Wesley, Luna, Ivan, and Desmond move with ease, taking down enemy after enemy.

But Kelly was determined to expose them. She carefully observed their movements, looking for any sign of cheating or unusual behavior.

But Kelly noticed something strange. Wesley's team seemed to be communicating with each other in a way that was almost...telepathic.

Kelly's eyes widened as she realized what she was seeing. It wasn't just luck or skill - Wesley's team was somehow connected, able to anticipate each other's moves.

Kelly's mind was racing. What was going on here? Was this some kind of advanced technology, or something more sinister?

As the simulation continue, Kelly's team, the "Vipers," faced off against Wesley's team, the "Eclipse." The two teams stood on opposite sides of the virtual battlefield, their eyes locked in a fierce stare.

The Vipers, consisting of Kelly, Chase, Sage, and Jake, worked together seamlessly, their movements fluid and coordinated. They had trained together for months, and their teamwork was unparalleled.

The Eclipse, on the other hand, seemed to be struggling. Wesley, Ivan, and Luna were all skilled fighters, but they lacked the cohesion and communication that the Vipers had.

Desmond, the quietest member of the Eclipse, seemed to be holding back, his movements hesitant and uncertain.

The simulation began, and the two teams clashed in a flurry of punches, kicks, and energy blasts. The Vipers fought in perfect sync, taking down the Eclipse members one by one.

Wesley tried to rally his team, but it was too late. The Vipers had already gained the upper hand, and they quickly overwhelmed the Eclipse.

As the simulation ended, the Vipers were declared the winners. Kelly's team cheered, grinning from ear to ear.

Wesley's team, on the other hand, looked stunned and defeated. Desmond's eyes were fixed on the floor, his expression unreadable.

Luna's eyes narrowed, her gaze flicking between Kelly's team and her own. She seemed to be calculating something, her mind racing with possibilities.

Kelly's eyes met Luna's, and for a moment, they just stared at each other. Kelly could sense a spark of tension between them, a sense of rivalry that went beyond just the simulation.

And then, Luna turned and walked away, her team following closely behind. Kelly watched them go, her mind whirling with questions.

What was going on with the Eclipse? And what secrets were they hiding? Kelly thinks to herself

Wesley's eyes flicked to Luna and Ivan, and he could sense their understanding. They didn't care about the rankings or winning. They had a mission to complete, and that's all that mattered.

Desmond, still quiet, nodded slightly, his eyes locked on the floor.

Luna's expression turned cold, her eyes glinting with determination. "We need to focus on our objective, not on winning some silly game."

Ivan nodded in agreement. "We can't let our cover be blown. We need to keep a low profile."

Wesley's eyes narrowed, his mind racing with the mission parameters. They had to gather intel, sabotage the training center's systems, and be able to go back to the main point of them coming to A.R.C in the first place

And Kelly's team was getting in the way.

Wesley's gaze flicked to Kelly's team, who were still celebrating their victory. He smiled to himself, a plan forming in his mind.

They would let Kelly's team think they were winning, all the while gathering intel and furthering their mission.

And when the time was right, they would strike.

The game was far from over.

" She is really into us " Luna smirked

Wesley sighed" we need to just keep a low profile that's what we came here to do " he scratched his head
