In a post-apocalyptic world, Princess Sofia fancies a commoner on the streets and follows him to the Mountains of Death from where she ends up in a 17th-century mansion, where the commoner - Heinrich - is the owner of the mansion and the Princess is forced to work for him.

“What do you want from me?” The Princess asked frustratingly. 

“You must think you are the main character or something.” The man chuckled, “Sofia, I want nothing from you. You followed me. I did not abduct you.” 

“I made a mistake. I request you to send me back.” 

“I cannot,” The man replied. “It is not under my command. It comes and goes.”

“What does that mean?” 

“That means you are stuck here. Probably for life.”

Heinrich completely ignored her, slipped the keys to the room into the little pocket of his coat, and tried to walk away from the crime scene. The Princess quickly grabbed his arm, trying to reach out for his pocket with her other hand. 

Heinrich immediately grabbed her hand and pulled her toward himself, then pushed her to the wall, holding both her hands to it. He frowned at her with all the rage he had in his body. But it didn’t hide the lingering sorrow in his eyes. They could tear up any moment now. 

The Princess didn’t know if she wanted to feel sad for him or resent him. He was a confusing man. 

“L-Let me go…” The Princess sheepishly demanded. 

“Why?” Heinrich asked with anger. “Who told you to meddle in my affairs?”

Eternal Castle

Heinrich sat in his room quietly. He cleared his throat as if he was preparing for a speech.

"A-Anton Hoover?" Heinrich called him hesitantly, knowing he wasn't going to reply, "I need to talk to you…"

But there wasn't a reply. Coexisting with someone meant sharing their thoughts. Heinrich already knew the answers to his questions, which is why Anton Hoover decided not to appear. Heinrich sighed at his fate. Even after knowing Anton Hoover's thoughts, he didn't know how to proceed. It was always like that.

Before merging bodies, Heinrich could only think like immortals. After merging with Anton Hoover, his thinking took a drastic shift. His head was always full of thoughts, making him unable to act on his free will.

Anton Hoover never talked back to Heinrich, just like today. Why waste time talking when both parties could already feel the thoughts? But, Heinrich still wanted to talk.
