chapter 5

"Are you sure it's ok going out to the wood with him?". Mother asked early that morning as papa Jesse and I were already prepared and about leaving. 

 "He's turning seven soon and it will be good if he gets to know his environment better". I smiled at father's response knowing am gradually getting the privilege I long have been craving for.

" I Very soon I will reunite with my pesi ". I said to myself excitedly, waiting impatiently for father to end his conversation with ma Mia.

 "Papa Jesse let's go it's almost dawn ". I stated dragging him by the hand. 

 " We'll be back before midday". He said leaving a kiss on her forehead , I've never seen papa Jesse leave the house with out leaving a kiss on her forehead at times am force to think it's a ritual with the way he made it compulsory, I didn't want to go about thinking about it so I dragged papa Jes77use by the hand and he willingly followed without any form reluctant.

 I became more excited immidiatly we left the wooden house into the bushy part that leads to the wood all of a sudden my joy was eventually mixed with fealing of fear as approached the wood. I instantly held my father's hand leaving him looking surprisenly at me.

 "If this is how you are going to behave in there how then am I to concentrate on my work ?" 

 Slowly I released his hand knowing he could sense the fear that was starting to emanate.

 "You are a man so learn to behave like one." He added as we entered the wood.

Just as before I heard scary noise from animals,one can easily hear a snake hissing

 " Maybe the king of the forest "lion" and his opponent "elephant" are probably here in the wood too". I said to my father when I could no longer take the unpleasant sounds. He simple laughed at my words possibly he might think I am. He held my hand and I heaved a sigh of relief knowing am safe with by me just holding his hand.
