As soon as Darlene turned around, Gustave was walking towards her from outside the room.
He walked closer and stopped a step away from her, waiting for her reply.
She thought she got it wrong and said after a long while, "Mr. Walpole, what did you just say?"
Gustave looked at her with a smile on his face. "You have indeed changed a lot. If Mr. Swale didn't remind me last night, I might not recognize you."
Darlene revealed a puzzled smile, but her smile was stiff. "Remind you of what?"
Gustave quietly took another step forward. When Darlene subconsciously wanted to retreat, he did not approach her. Instead, he stood beside her and looked out of the window.

He did not say anything and looked outside silently. Darlene could not understand his thoughts. For some reason, she felt guilty and uneasy.
