Andrew's furious voice continued to be heard from the other side of the line. "Tell me. What actually happened at the restaurant today? Why did you drink so much? Don't think that I can't find out about that even if you clear the camera footage..."
Before Andrew was finished, Avery ended the call.
Avery then stopped Darlene, who was walking through the hallway. Darlene paused and turned around to look at Avery.
Just like the past few times, Darlene looked pleasantly surprised. She immediately walked over. "Mr. Gallard, what are the odds? We run into each other all the time."
The pleasing look on Darlene's face had disgusted Avery the last few times.
But this time, Avery somehow did not feel the same.
He actually started to think that the woman's expression was not that annoying.
Darlene walked closer, still smiling. "Mr. Gallard, you must be joking. Why do I feel guilty? I'm wondering why you're in the hospital."
