Darlene loosened her step and braked. When the car began to move backward, she came back to her senses and realized that she had no choice then.
She did not leave. Instead, she braked and parked the car again. Taking a deep breath, she got out of the car and walked to the wrought iron gate to ring the doorbell.
Just as she reached out her hand, the door of the mansion suddenly opened. Nathen hurriedly walked down the steps and went over with a sullen face.
Coincidentally, Darlene saw him in a hurry and guessed that he might have something to do.
Their eyes met through the wrought iron gate. Darlene didn't feel panicked, but she quickly calmed down.
It was good that he had come out directly so that she didn't have to ring the doorbell and also because she didn't have to hesitate to go in.
