Seth sat on the couch across from Avery, puzzled as he questioned Avery, "You're looking for Leana Elicott?"
Seth paused for a moment, then it clicked. "So, Nathen took Nigel away, and now you're hoping to persuade Leana Elicott to help convince her brother, Nathen, to release Nigel?"
Avery looked at Seth, who sat on the couch with a clueless expression, and said, "Do I look like someone who would go around begging for help?"
Avery's statement was partly true because Seth knew that Avery had never begged anyone before. However, when it came to him begging Darlene, it was a different story altogether.
Seth sneered. "So you're the type who would go to a detention facility for someone, but now you're hesitating to ask for a favor? If you're capable of going to that length for someone, surely it's not impossible to ask for help. And if you're not even going to ask Leana Elicott, then what's your purpose in seeking her out?"
