Chapter 435 The Trial

When Darlene and Braylen left the hospital together, the sky started to lighten up. It was about four or five o'clock in the morning, and the hospital was shrouded in a thick and damp mist.

When Braylen drove over earlier, he parked his car in the open-air parking lot outside the hospital. They headed for the parking lot as he walked out of the hospital building with Darlene.

The temperature outside was at its lowest at the time. Braylen noticed Darlene was shivering, so he put his coat on her.

Only then did Braylen recall that one of Avery's coats was still in the former's villa. Not long ago, when Avery sent Darlene back, Darlene still had Avery's coat wrapped around her.

Braylen thought it was ironic that after what happened to Darlene, Gustave and the Walpole family were still caught up with the bad news of Marcel's death and didn't have time to take care of her.

Gustave didn't even have the mood to offer Darlene a word of comfort and care.
