Second Life The game

Alex, once known as a ruthless assassin, had a reputation for being merciless in his actions. Whenever his masters designated a name, that individual could never survive beyond a week. One day, his life took an unexpected turn when he found himself at odds with his own masters, triggered by justifiable reasons. Having paid a steep price, including sacrificing the life of someone important to him, he ultimately managed to break free from their clutches. On that day, he made a solemn vow to forsake the actions of his past, which had been the root cause of the master's relentless pursuit of him.



Now, he lives in a serene, old town in Texas, earning a living at a sandwich shop and actively trying to bury his past behind. It's like he was living a second life.



One day, Alex made the decision to break a solemn vow he had sworn back then. He did it because of a few reasons. One was consistent pestering of his bossfriend. And the biggest one was he had nothing to lose now. For one last time he wanted to do what he loved to do.



Gaming.



How is gaming going to change Alex's second life? Can he avoid his destiny ?



Author's thoughts- I love game genre books, but there seem to be two main paths authors choose to write.



1 Main character returns from the future to stop every bad thing that is gonna happen to him.



2 From the start of the game Main character gets ridiculous powers(golden finger) or op attributes.



So I wanted to do something different. This is my shot for it. Also, I noticed most of these game novels don't have an interesting real-life story, so I'm trying to create one too. So join me.
