Chapter 35

Beth's POV

"It'll be the last day for the shots today." Arc put the medicine box full of empty syringes into the medicine kit he carried with him and examined me.

Then he said calmly, "You are in good health now." I nodded. "Thank you."

Arc shook his head, handed me a piece of cotton, and asked me to press it against the pinhole left by the syringe.

Thanks to the countless medications, I could now face sharp needles fearlessly.

Because I got used to it, I no longer physically screamed whenever the injection was administered.

"I know that your wolf already recovered many days ago. She is in almost perfect health." Arch suddenly said to me since we were alone in the room then.

"It's not because of the medicine I prescribed. Mine wouldn't work that way." Arc said with a strange smile.

I didn't understand what he meant. But it didn't matter. Arc was someone I could trust.
