Chapter 50 We Belong Together

Beth's POV

"You must kill him yourself." Arc’s void sounded loud and clear, but I refused to believe it.

No. That couldn't be true, it’s just a dream, a bad nightmare that I would forget once I woke up. I thought, refusing to believe his words.

I crouched on the ground, shaking unstoppably. I covered my ears, not wanting to hear another word from Arc.

How could he say that I must kill Aaron? He was the love of my life, and he trusted me and guarded me with his life. There was no way I would kill my mate.

"There is another way, right? I won't kill him. I can't!" I gradually calmed myself down and said to Arc firmly.

The forest was deadly quiet; only Arc and I were present at the moment. His eyes were filled with pity, and then he shook his head again.

"I'm sorry. It's the only way I know. And it has to be you." Arc walked towards the grave, leaving me with the sound of my greeting teeth.
