Chapter 66 Always Present At The Scene

Beth's POV

"Wait! Who are you?"

I wanted to catch up with him. Thinking that he might be the one who killed Ben, I couldn’t let him out of my sight. I had to hand him over to Aaron for questioning.

My body outpaced my mind, as I immediately followed the direction of the monster's escape.

Since he had huge feet and long limbs, he naturally got the advantage of running at a fast speed.

Even though I was running as fast as I could, all I could see was his back.

I continued chasing after him, but my heart began to beat erratically, my lungs began to sting, and I was almost out of breath. I had already reached my limit.

I slowed down to regain my energy, but as soon as I did, I lost him. I then stopped running, feeling chagrined.

I looked in the direction of the monster disappearing with frustration. But there was nothing I could do. So I just went back to the original spot in fatigue.
