Beth's POV
"My brother is not lying! Everything he says is true. We are not lying to you."
Nina ran up to Henry. She gathered her courage and blocked him with her body. Her nervousness along with the running made Nina's cheeks turn rosy, and her soft, beautiful long gold curls fell on her shoulders. A gust of wind blew her hair up to Henry's nose, and he pushed it away impatiently.
Nina bit her lips nervously and raised her chin, saying in a clear voice, "If you don't believe me, feel free to check. I can't lie to you, can I?"
I remembered the scene where Henry controlled Nina in the banquet hall. I felt bad for her. What a pitiful girl. I almost forgot she was a vampire hybrid, a puppet who had to take orders from the Vampire King forever. From the minute she was poisoned by the Vampire King, for him, she was transparent. She could not lie to him whatsoever.
"Be honest with me. Is he telling the truth?"
