Chapter 136 Mind Game

Beth's POV

I felt dizzy and weak. I didn't know how long it took, but I finally regained consciousness.

Aaron and Peter opened their eyes at the same time and checked on each other. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed the figure across the table, and I arched my body warily.

Lance smiled, shook his glass, raised it in the air, and motioned to us. "You are awake. I have been waiting for a long time. Can you feel that something has changed?" He pointed to his arm, hinting to us.

"You poor things. You are ordinary humans now, and the kind without any powers or abilities no less." Lance raised his head and drank up the wine, and the scarlet liquid flowed down the corner of his mouth. His dazzling smile made me flustered. I looked at Aaron in disbelief, trying to mobilize the energy in my body to control the objects around me, but none of them responded.
