Beth's POV
"Now! Get out of here! We can't stay here!" Alexander shouted anxiously. "Or we'll all be buried here!"
He urged us to leave the church as soon as possible. Aaron held my shoulder, and when we were running out, I paused a little and looked back. Half of the church had collapsed, the ground was split in half by cracks, and countless pieces of rubble and earth were falling into the abyss.
The rumble shook my heart. When the shaking finally stopped, we pressed our beating hearts tightly and looked back at the wreckage of the church. Nina looked sad. "It holds so many of my memories, and now it's ruined," she murmured. "It's all gone."
For now, Alexander didn't have time to mind Nina, who was immersed in sorrow. He ordered the guards to check the damage to the palace.
