Elizabeth didn't have to stand in her position, she knew it was unacceptable.
But she was Elizabeth, not Becky.
She could only think about what has happened from her own perspective.
"It's a pity. I'm not such a great person. I don't have the spirit of dedication. The child is in my body, whether it is born or not, that is my freedom. No one can decide the life or death of my child except me."
"You..."
"You want me to repay your kindness. That's fine. If you need my help, I can help you. But this is the only thing I can't do."
Her baby was her relative. She was reluctant to get rid of it, so how could she let an outsider decide the baby's life or death?
"Are you sure?"
"Yes. As long as it's not outrageous."
Favors must be repaid. But if she demanded too much, it was impossible.
Becky pondered.
