Chapter 55

Although there weren't many people waiting at the City Clerk's Office, Max and Elizabeth were all there later and still had to wait.

Elizabeth didn't sleep well last night and felt very tired, so she found a place to sit down.

Max followed her, but he still had a dark face and didn't sit next to Elizabeth.

Despite being at the City Clerk's Office, Elizabeth was relatively calm.

She looked up at Max and asked, "Aren't you going to sit down?"

"No need."

Max's voice was cold without any warmth, and he didn't even look at her.

Elizabeth understood that he didn't want to talk to her.

After all, they were about to divorce, and he would soon be marrying Becky. So, what was the point of talking to Elizabeth?

Fortunately, Elizabeth had never expected that they could still be friends after their divorce.
