Hearing this, Elizabeth took a look at him.
"None of your business."
"Becky just stayed a few minutes here, how can I have time to bully her?" Elizabeth asked ironically.
Max frowned, showing his obvious displeasure.
"That is not what I mean."
"So what do you mean? Should I tell you every word we just said?"
Max could tell that Elizabeth treated him differently, as if they were strangers. She was only nice to him in front of grandma.
These changes made Max very unhappy.
"Before we got married, we got along very well," Max thought.
Not being answered, Elizabeth took her clothes and began to wash up.
She went to bed as soon as she finished, as if she didn't see Max there.
Being ignored, Max washed in a bad mood and then went to bed unhappy.
Although the two shared the same bed, they were separated by a long pillow in the middle. They were strange bedfellows.
