Elizabeth's little mouth chattered incessantly, and Max found himself unable to refute every word that came out of it.
He had seen how eloquent Elizabeth was before.
When he first brought her to the negotiations, as she had never been exposed to such an occasion, and as she was young, it was inevitable that she suffered from stage fright.
As she became more involved, she became more skilled. She was able to seize the initiative as she spoke. Her logic and her head were clear enough.
Each time, her words were so well-founded that they brought down the other party.
Just like now, she was treating him in such a way.
And Max found that he couldn't refute her at all.
Becky did come, and she did wear Elizabeth's clothes.
Seeing that he didn't speak, Elizabeth sneered, "It's your turn. Why don't you speak? Max, what if I bring another man back and let him wear your clothes?"
Max was speechless.
