Elizabeth smiled at him, shrugged and said, "I just thought about it from your point of view, so I can understand why you blamed me. You love her so much, so you understand her."

When she said these words, Max kept staring at her.

"So?" He gritted his back molars, and his eyes became dark.

"I mean, it's normal for you to put her first." Then, Elizabeth paused for a moment and then continued, "So I thought about it. If I were you, I would do the same."

Elizabeth had never been saved by anyone, nor had she experienced Max's despair, but she could imagine, even though she couldn't feel one-tenth of Max's feelings.

When he was on the verge of death, and he would suffocate in the next second, suddenly someone reached out to him.

It was like a light in the dark night, so how could Max not be moved?

Max looked at her with a pale face.

"What will you do? You already assumed that I blamed you?"
