Chapter 105

At night, Elizabeth and Max told Madam Hart what Dr. Logan said in the morning.

During this period, Madam Hart had a good recuperation at home, and she looked ruddier and more energetic than in the sanatorium.

When Max and Elizabeth told her about it, Madam Hart was not scared. Instead, she nodded in a good mood.

"Go for a checkup tomorrow? No problem."

Madam Hart was in a good mood now. She enjoyed life at home. She wanted to have surgery and get better soon.

Elizabeth was very pleased to hear that.

"Grandma, you look happy."

"Yes." Madam Hart held Elizabeth's hand and sighed. "I thought I had to stay in the nursing home for the rest of my life. I won't have any regrets now that I come out to see the world outside before surgery, even if I will die on the operating table."

Elizabeth was delighted at first, but she turned pale when Madam Hart said the last sentence.

"Grandma, what nonsense are you talking about?"
