She was finally willing to eat, so John quickly brought the meal.
He designed the lunch in advance and bought it from a high-end restaurant. The plate was dedicated, and it even kept heat.
When the lid was opened, the aroma came out.
Elizabeth took a bite of rice as if something had suddenly occurred to her. She looked at Max's plate and saw rice on it, too.
She frowned slightly and said subconsciously, "Can you eat rice now? Don't you need to care about your stomach?"
After the words fell, there was silence around.
Before Max looked at her, Elizabeth explained in time, "It's because we work together that I'm asking about your health."
Her explanation stressed exactly what she had been concerned about.
Max's thin lips curled up slightly after hearing her explanation.
"Really? I'm going to take that as a concern."
The negative emotions previously caused by her reluctance completely disappeared now.
