Julianna restrained her vigilance and ignored Jace's exasperation.
If he came to visit normally, Julianna might not be alert, but today, she had just been shot by a criminal, and Jace had come.
It was hard to not relate this to him.
Especially if she had an accident with the children, Jace was undoubtedly the biggest beneficiary.
"Mr. Conway, it's getting late. I think you should leave. I won't keep you for dinner." Julianna's heart was a mess, and she asked him to leave.
When Jace heard this, he was angry.
Edwin, his nephew, did not put him in his eyes. Now, even Julianna was going against him.
They were really in cahoots with each other.
"Humph!" Jace snorted and walked away.
After Jace left, Alex and Bruce looked at Julianna in confusion.
"Mommy, why are you so fierce to him?"
Usually, Julianna was very gentle, especially with the elders who were older. She was always polite.
