Half an hour later, Kolby gave Viola a specified examination and a blood test. He checked to see if it was the strong corrosive agent S40 that passed from the baby to the mother.
While waiting for the result, Kolby stared at Ormand's pitiful left cheek and sighed, "Ormand, would you like something to reduce the swelling? Shall I get you an ice bag?"
Ormand licked the broken lining of his mouth and nodded. "After I get to know Viola's situation, I'll take care of it."
Kolby thought, fine.
The lab fell silent, neither of them speaking.
They were both anxious.
They waited nervously for an hour, and the sky outside was completely dark.
Kolby received the results and returned to the ward with a solemn expression.
"How is it?" Ormand, who was staying beside Viola, immediately got up.
"Ormand, we have both good news and bad news. Which one do you want to hear first?" Kolby clenched the test sheet.
