Ormand shook his head. "Your brother’s hobbies are different from yours," he said, his tone gentle and understanding.
He didn't want to bring up Aedan's poor health, so he tried to put it in a different way that would be easier for Mila to accept.
Viola also noticed this detail, and she looked back at Ormand, sharing a satisfied look with him. It was clear that they were on the same page.
Mila, however, became very tangled. She wanted to go, but she couldn't bear to leave her brother behind. She was torn between her desire to experience new things and her love for Aedan.
Ormand tried to lighten the mood with a joke. "Now you just don't want to give up on your brother? Are you willing to give up on me and your mommy?" he teased.
Mila, being a big kid, let out a soft snort and intentionally placed her hands on her hips. "Daddy has mommy, and he loves her the most. You two are always being lovey-dovey, and I'm left here starving for attention."
