Melvin was stunned for several seconds. He blinked a little flustered and not dared to look at Jerry.
His guilty conscience was written on his face, and Jerry didn't even need to ask, "What did I tell you before I went out in the morning? You had to learn the second half of Horse Racing from your teacher in the afternoon, but you turned a deaf ear and played all day?"
"Daddy, today is because…"
"Don't worry. Come to my study after dinner. I'll give you a little more time to make excuses." Jerry interrupted in a deep voice.
Melvin gulped. He hated to go into Jerry's study. He would be either be scolded or beaten. His good mood was instantly swept away.
Seeing Melvin's nervousness, Old Mrs. Felton explained, "Jerry, I told Melvin not to learn the piano this afternoon. It's not easy for Mila to come here so I let the two children play more. It won't have any effect."
Jerry looked at her with a solemn face. "Grandma, you're spoiling him."
