Elaina was slightly stunned and subconsciously asked, "What is it?"
"I was thinking about what kind of life you used to live," Jalen said and looked away from Elaina.
"Don't tell me that after seeing what happened today, you think my life in the village was not easy," Elaina smiled.
Jalen did not answer. Obviously, that was what he thought.
Especially when he found that Elaina did not refute Natalie and Jazmin, he was angry. But what was more, he felt sorry for Elaina. He couldn't imagine how hard it was for Elaina to live like this since she was a child.
"No, it wasn't. I was living well when Grandpa was still alive," Elaina smiled. "In the past, Natalie and Jazmin didn't dare to provoke me at all. They didn't dare to encounter me."
Jalen frowned, obviously not quite convinced.
