When Denise returned to the Gainsford's home, it was already two o'clock in the morning. She had just entered the living room and was about to quietly return to her room when the lights in the corridor were suddenly turned on.
She was shocked. When she turned around and found that it was Elaina, her heart could not help but beat faster. "Ella, you haven't slept yet?"
"You haven't slept either. You just came back. It's so late. What did you do outside?" Elaina smiled. Under the light, her eyes seemed to glow, making people feel like they had nowhere to hide.
Denise tried hard to restrain her panic and said expressionlessly, "Sophie moved out. I felt sad. So I went to find a friend to have a heart-to-heart talk."
"Oh, is that so?" Elaina's lips curved into a mocking smile.
If Elaina had not just received the news from the people she sent to track Denise that they saw her walk into a hotel, she might have believed her words.
