Chapter 19

Nancy would walk away from Helle these days in disgrace. But looking at her gloomy eyes, Helle could tell she was up to something bad.

In the company lounge, Helle accidentally met Esmond who was drinking coffee. He gave Helle a cute wink and jokingly said, "I heard that Ramses punished Nancy for you. You are really important to him."

Hearing his slightly sarcastic words, Helle felt uncomfortable and said quietly, "Do you envy me? It's my fault that I stole your elder brother's love for you."

Esmond stiffened. "Miss Parkinson is such a joker."

"Don't you always tease me first? I'm just treating people in their own way." Helle calmly took a cup of coffee and tasted it carefully.

She had never seen anyone more venomous than herself.

"However," Esmond changed his previous attitude and said seriously, "I can do whatever Ramses can do, and I can do whatever Ramses can't. You can consider me as your husband."
