When Samara met Chaim, she had just left the private room of the dinner party.
Samara felt that she had made it clear that night. Therefore, although Chaim was in her direction, she didn't intend to greet Chaim.
Jimena was with Samara and held the same opinion.
The hotel corridor was quite wide, and the four people could pass side by side.
To avoid bumping into Chaim, Samara had moved toward the wall when she saw him. The corridor was 15 to 20 feet wide, and even if four people walked side by side, they would not hit each other.
Samara felt that her meeting with Chaim this time should be a very successful one between strangers. They would just glance at each other out of curiosity and go their own ways.
However, it was just what Samara thought. When Chaim called her, Samara didn't want to turn back.
So, Samara didn't. She didn't even stop.
If not for the fact that Chaim followed her, it would have been a wonderful night.
