Jimena pulled Samara. "Ms. Novak, we can go further…"
Samara glanced at her. Her hands and feet were numb from the cold. Seeing Jimena's pleading eyes, Samara bit her lip.
Her chapped lips were bleeding from her bite, and the taste of it made Samara wake up a bit. She glanced at James who was waiting for them, and said, "Let's go."
Once she stop, she would surely not have the energy to continue further.
Samara didn't speak any more, and followed Jimena silently.
Jimena's situation was not much better, but she knew that she had the responsibility to bring Samara home.
Jimena was startled for the first time when Samara fell.
James heard the scream, and quickly turned back, but he was already too weak and he could barely hold Samara with his remaining strength.
Picking up from the snow, James raised his hand to pinch Samara. When his hand touched Samara, James' hand trembled. "Ms. Novak, she has a fever!"
