Hank led Jade to the dining room and instructed her, "You sit here and wait for me for a while."
Jade looked at him quizzically. "Waiting for you?" she asked,"You don't mean to cook, do you?"
Hank grinned. "That's right, let me tell you. This Lord's cooking skills are also very superb."
Jade smiledskeptically. "Okay, then I'll wait and see." But she clearly didn't believe him. After all, Hank didn't look like he knew how to cook at all.
Once Hank left, Jade sat alone at the dining table and waited. Carey stood beside her, and the only two people left in the restaurant were them.
Carey said, "Ms. Herring, thank you. Thank you for showing up in time to save my life."
Jade looked at him, smiling. "I won't believe it if you say such an exaggeration. You must not be afraid of being beaten. There must be other reasons."
