"I asked her," Rafael continued, "but she kept pretending to be confused and refused to admit it."
"Why?"
"It probably has something to do with what happened to her when she was a child, which made her reluctant to express her emotions easily to other people."
Daisy couldn’t help but to feel bad when she saw the pain reflected on Rafael’s eyes as he spoke. He really does love halo.
Daisy caressed his back and said, "That’s not true, Rafael. It’s not you–"
"It doesn't matter who's at fault. I love her, I care for her. You don’t know how many times I prayed for her to be the one I'd grow old with." There was tenderness in his eyes that he couldn't conceal as he spoke.
