Mia's P.O.V.
I got Auriel out of there before they finished their claiming ceremony. I was not ready to be an aunt, not at all. Auriel and I walk side by side in silence. I lead her outside and into the forest. We get many curious stares and some glares. I don't miss the bimbo population of the pack sneering in Auriel's direction. Once I deem us far away enough from everyone, I ask Auriel, "I am Mia, your mates' sister, as I am sure they told you. I want you to be able to trust me and talk to me. The vibe I am getting is that not a lot of people in the pack treat you right. Talk to me, we can be friends!"
I was desperate to reach her. I don't know how, but the moment you entered the room I could sense almost a shadow shrouding her. When I looked into her eyes, I saw the pain and her ghosts in there too. I needed to help her.
