Noticing that the distance between them was too close, Gloria discreetly moved a little to the side as a form of silent resistance to Jordy's behavior.
Jordy felt despondent for a split second, but he quickly regained his composure as if nothing had happened.
"Cindy's statement hasn't been finished yet. I know you're going to stay with her today, but I don't agree with you sleeping here. I've booked a hotel nearby. I'll tell the police to send you two over later."
Gloria seemed a little hesitant.
Jordy replied, "It's around 0.6 miles away. I've booked two rooms. If Cindy needs to come over tonight, we can come over together. Besides, if you sleep in the lounge for one night, both of you will catch a cold."
Gloria hesitated for a moment and finally nodded.
She thanked him and turned around to go into the lounge to wake Cindy up.
Jordy's voice sounded from behind.
