' fire, cracks, and booms '

Once I let go of Will, Jonathan busted in the room, asking us if we were ready to go. We were both ready to go, and Jonathan was explaining what we were going to do. Will put his backpack on, throwing the straps over his shoulder, and tightening the straps. It felt like everything was going in slow motion as the window broke, shattering against Jonathan's back. Jonathan started screaming to get out of the room, I gripped Will's hand, yanking him up the stairs and hiding behind the little "island" of the Byers house. I was huffing quietly, but Will was panicking. I put my hand over him, almost like I was protecting him. I was in a way, but that's not important, I just need to make sure Will makes it out safely. Will was hyperventilating, the man told us to follow him. I held onto Will's hand tightly, pulling him gently.

The gunshots continued as we moved, he told us to stay and then moved around us, I grabbed onto Will as he was panicking, "It's okay, I'm right here." I whispered, moving my fingers up and down his arm. The man screamed at us to get down, so, that's what we did. Crouching down, I wrapped my arms around Will, pulling him closer to me. Will grabbed onto my arm and my side in a panic, hyperventilating loudly. He told us, "I shoot, you run," as loudly as he could so we could all hear. I didn't think Will heard, so I pulled on his button up slightly, pulling him up and almost jogging him over to the island once again.

The man got shot in the process, so Will and I took initiative and grabbed onto him, helping him outside where Argyle was. Argyle was panicking as we screamed at him to drive, he was asking so many questions when we had barely escaped with our lives and wanted to get out of there. "DRIVE!" We screamed, he obeyed, slamming on the gas and trying to get us out of there. They guy was bleeding out, groaning in agony. I was grossed out by the amount of blood spilling out of him, but we all covered up his wound with our hands, napkins, extra towels, anything we could find, but that was before he was explaining to us that there was a number we could call for an Owens, to tell him the girl was in danger, El. I searched for a piece of paper in a panic. Will scrambled for a piece and handed it to me, I took it, "I need a pen!" I yelled, looking for one. The man handed me a pen, I took it, asking for the number, but he wouldn't give it. I asked one final time before his hand dropped to the floor.

I looked at Jonathan, Jonathan sighed, sitting back.  Will was still hyperventilating, trying to bring himself back to his senses. There was blood all over my hands, Will's, and Jonathan's, I gagged lightly. "What do we do?" I asked, Jonathan sighed at me, he wasn't sure either. Jonathan told Argyle to drive to a place they hung out with, at first I was confused. It was dark, and I really wanted to sleep, but Jonathan said we had to at least get the body out and wash our hands before we even tried to sleep. Argyle parked at the junkyard and watched as we pulled the man's body out of his trunk and set it on the dusty ground. Jonathan pulled out some bottled water that seemed rather convenient and poured it on our hands, running the blood off our hands. After, we all piled back in and tried to catch some sort of sleep. Will stayed close and held my hand discreetly, falling asleep rather quickly. I stayed awake for a few before completely shutting down and passing out.

The next morning was hot and humid, the wind didn't blow which made it harder to be out there in long sleeves with jeans. Jonathan explained that we needed to bury this man, instead of leaving his dead body there on the ground in a junkyard. "God, it's hot out here." I complained as soon as I stepped out of the van, Will looked at me, "Don't you have a shirt on under that?" He asked, I was confused, of course I was wearing a shirt under my jacket? My plain white tee. I nodded, "Yeah, of course. What about it?" I asked, he scoffed, lifting the blue jacket up and over my head. I blinked, "A little better?" He asked, I thought for a second, how was he so smart? For some reason, I didn't even think of taking my blue jacket off, I nodded. He giggled lightly, turning around, Jonathan looked at me. "You're a little red, Mike." He whispered, I choked, turning around and touching my burning face. "Am I?" I asked, he nodded. "M-Must be the sun." I blurted out, turning around and running toward Will, picking up one out of the two shovels Will found.

As I was digging I heard Argyle complaining about how the pen had no ink. Will and I stopped digging as Jonathan and Argyle argued, I looked at Will and he watched his older brother. Will was so pretty, he was extraordinary, special in every way, and… Very, very hot. I mean! Hot, because of the sun, because it's very hot and humid. Right. Yup, that's why. I sighed before realizing me and Will were holding eye contact. I jumped a bit, looking down and then doing a double take. Looking down once again, and doing a triple take. I looked down a final time and continued to dig, feeling my ears and nose begin to warm up a lot, unintentionally licking my lips. Will chuckled, laughing at the way I reacted to us holding eye contact.

Jonathan eventually shooed us away and told us to take a break while he covered up the body. Argyle continued to complain about the pen, he wanted to make a headstone for this man's grave. I was holding a 7UP, drinking it and feeling the fizz in my mouth. I flinched, Will looked at me, "What?" He asked. I laughed lightly, "The 7UP was really fizzy," I breathed out. Will smiled, picking up his 7UP, opening it, and taking a sip, flicking his tongue. "Jeez, no. You're right, that is really fizzy." Will confessed, chuckling lightly. Our pinky's touched lightly, feeling the electricity. Will took my pinky in mine. It felt like my heart was exploding from how hard it was beating.

I looked up through my shaggy bangs, looking at Will who was grinning and looking out at Argyle and Jonathan who were arguing about the dead guy's name. I leaned forward, kissing Will's cheek, down to his ear, and down to his neck before pulling away, I could feel Will shiver, he let out a loud huff. His cheeks were painted a loud red, almost as he was sunburnt. Clearly that triggered something, because Will stayed still like a statue. It was honestly kind of cute, right? Cute? Was that the right word for how I wanted to explain him? I was lost in my own head before I felt Will's legs lean against mine. They were not that close earlier, and I could tell Will was watching Argyle and Jonathan closely. What was he planning? Our pinky's were no longer touching, Will's arm was sliding up my back, I shivered, turning toward Will, "What're you doing?" I asked, Will didn't answer, he was still staring out somewhere, probably still at his brother and his friend.

I could feel his hand wrapped up in my hair. What was he doing? "Will!" I whisper-shouted, Will took a clump of my hair, yanking it gently. As he did, Will kissed my neck, just a quick peck. I gasped, pulling my head back. Something ignited in me, a deep red blush creeped across my face, there were thousands of fireworks in my stomach, butterflies were roaming and fluttering fast. What was this? I didn't understand this feeling, but whatever the hell Will just did, definitely caused it. Will grinned widely, pulling his hand down and wrapping it around my waist, keeping us close together.

Jonathan soon enough had enough of Argyle's shit before Argyle kept complaining about the pen having no ink… But why wouldn't the pen have no ink? Why would the man give us a pen without ink? I repeated the question aloud, "Why would that man give us a pen without ink?" I stuttered out, Will looked at me, puzzled. I tapped Will to let me go, in which he did. I sat up straight, "Why would he give us a pen without ink?" I asked, I got up from the car, jumping down and leaving the 7UP on top of the car and walking toward Argyle, Will followed quietly. I put my hand out in front of him, "Hand it over, please." I asked.

He put it in my hand, confused about what I was doing. I examined it, pulling it apart and tapping it against my hand as a small roll of paper fell out and into my hand. I opened it, confused, there was the number, clear as day. I blinked, "The number" I blurted out, "The number it's right here," I repeated. Jonathan looked at me, we all looked at one another. We all quickly scrambled to the car, Argyle slowly filed in, Jonathan pushed on the gas, we were quick to find a telephone, I dialed the number with the coin that Jonthan gave me.

There was noise that I couldn't deceiver, it was obviously a cryptic message, but it didn't make sense, "I don't understand it." I confessed, Will looked up at me, leaning against the closeted box, "Lemme hear," Will said. I held it to Will's ear, his hand rested against mine as he listened. He shrugged after listening for a minute, "I-I don't get it either," He whispered.

"Give it here," Jonathan scoffed, I handed it to Jontahan, he took it out of my hands, listening hard. "I don't fucking understand, does this really lead us anywhere?" I thought for a second, "We're not calling a phone, we're calling a computer!" I exclaimed, "I'm not sure if Nina's a computer like Joshua or Owens' lab, but that man gave us access to it for a reason." I explained, Will caught on, completing my sentence, "We just need to find the computer, find Owens, then warn him and El." We hung up the phone, walking back to the van.

"We just need a hacker," I explained, thinking of someone like Dustin. Will scoffed, "The only hacker I know lives in Utah." He laughed, Jonathan groaned, "Utah?" He asked, Will corrected him, "Salt Lake City to be specific." He paused, before giggling lightly, "Oh my god," He repeated, I laughed lightly, "What? Why "Oh my god"?" I asked, Will put his hands on his hips, before bursting into song, "Turn around, look at what you see…" He sang, I sighed, grinning to myself. "Oh no," Jonathan confessed. Argyle made a comment but he was still stoned out of his mind, so I paid no attention. "If we leave now and get on I-15 we can get there by morning," I explained, folding up the map and closing the trunk.

"Oh god, you're serious," Jonathan scoffed, getting in the car as well. We all were clambering around before Jonathan started driving toward I-15 to get to Suzie, I turned toward Will, "This is totally crazy, but Suzie saved the word last year, maybe she can do it again." I explained, Will grinned, nodding. "I think you're right, Mike." Will explained, scooting closer to me. The night came back fast, and me and Will were getting antsy. But for what? Jonathan thought we were probably tired so he allowed us to get in the back to sleep for the night.

We laid there next to each other for awhile, Jonathan turned the volume up on the radio, which didn't bother us since we could whisper to one another, I turned my head toward Will, he turned his head toward mine. "Hi," I whispered, Will smiled gently before replying, "Hi…" He whispered back, scooting closer. "Whatcha doing?" He asked, giggling as it was a joke, I scoffed. "Lookin' at you, that's what," I whispered, pulling him as close as I could, he gasped quietly. I bit my lip, I was questioning what I was doing, because I didn't want to hurt him, but I could feel our electricity as his body was pushed against mine.

"What were you doing at the junkyard?" I asked quietly, Will thought back, he glanced down at my lips quickly, before looking back up, "What're you talking about?" He asked, looking deeply into my eyes, he genuinely didn't know, I could tell, I could see it. "When you…" I paused, putting my hands in his hair and pulling it oh, so, gently. He gasped very, very lightly. "Did that, to me…" I whispered, looking down at him. He looked so small against me, shrinking against my figure.

"I just…" He paused, wrapping his hands around my neck, and his legs around my waist. My hands fell on his waist, pulling the little space between us to a minimum. His fingers started twirling around in my hair. Oh god, these butterflies were turning into birds in my stomach as my breath got heavy. He noticed it, licking his lips lightly, and breathing from his mouth, creating the smallest gap between us. "I just, wanted to see what you'd do… And, you know," He turned his head, almost to kiss me, but he was centimeters away from my lips. Feeling his breath against my lips, as well as his lips taunting my own. "I got the reaction I wanted." He whispered.

His lips were against mine, oh god, oh god, oh god, I can't help it, this was everything I wanted, and I don't want to stop. I want the world to stop so me and Will can be together, close, touching, everything. Please. Our lips were basically dancing against one another, our bodies were pressing against one another. I tilted my head more, trying to get more into it. Will grasped another clump of my hair, pulling it as he pulled away for a second, my breath hitched, my teeth pushed together to keep quiet.

Will grinned, pulling me back in, what was he doing? Why was his twisting and pulling my hair making me feel so many different things? It didn't hurt, it felt… Good? Yeah, yeah, no, it feels good. It's my thing, the thing that… I… God, how the fuck do I explain it? I don't know the words, I wanted to find Will's thing, whatever the hell it was, I needed to find it. I let out a shaky breath, I was grabbing onto Will's sides, moving my hands to his back and scratching at it, Will's body jerked forward, he gasped… I gasped, pulling away. I grinned, "There it is." I whispered, he looked up at me sheepishly.

Our lips connected once again, Will's hands reached for my hair as I lifted him, fortunately, the seats were placed perfectly so that if Will was sitting on top of my lap as I was leaning against the trunk door, nobody could see a thing. What the hell was happening? So much was going on. This was so much different then what I did with Eleven. So much different, and I fucking loved it. God, I can't handle the thoughts. Will leaned over, kissing my lips once again, setting his hands against my face and in my hair, fucking hell, I lifted my hands up his back and used my nails to scratch his back, he gasped, his mouth opened, mine did as well.

I felt his tongue against mine, we both jerked away, nervous of what we were doing. We had been doing was keeping me awake, my eyelids got droopy from letting go of his lips. We were breathing heavy, Jonathan's voice became clear, "Are you guys okay back there?" He asked, I looked up at Will, Will looked down at me, nervous. His breathing slowed, "Yeah, just hot back here," He explained, I nodded, "For sure," I whispered, Will grinned. "Do you want the AC on?" Jonathan asked, Will nodded, then said aloud, "Please." Jonathan turned up the AC. Will collapsed next to me, I slouched down, laying next to him. He cuddled close. Almost falling asleep instantly. Fuck, that was definitely a make out, we didn't go as far as searching one another's mouths, but… It was still amazing, and I couldn't deny that he was a good kisser. An amazing kisser. Amazing. Fucking amazing.
