Panting, Aryan returned with the key. To his surprise, Kaylah's door had been opened.
Aryan suspected that Zion played a trick on him deliberately.
Kaylah leaned crouched in the quilt with her hair messy and her cheeks red.
Andy reached out to touch Kaylah's forehead with a serious face. "You seem to have a fever."
Zion checked Kaylah's temperature with a thermometer. The latter indeed got a fever.
Zion ordered Roger to call the doctor and then tucked Kaylah in. Although he put on a sullen look, he did it gently.
"Have a good rest. I will cook some food for you. The doctor will probably give you an injection. It's better for you to eat something in advance."
Kaylah said weakly, "Thank you."
Zion felt bitter for Kaylah and stroked her head. Kaylah's complaint of him rumpling her hair occurred to him suddenly. He retracted his hand in embarrassment.
"It's all my fault. I didn't take good care of you and made you sick."
