Cecilia stared coldly at Hendry, cursing him in her heart.
She wished that he and Kaylah would never be together!
Then she quickly went upstairs to Edith's room.
Edith cried for a long time before she finally stopped the tears, but she couldn't stop cursing inwardly.
"How ungrateful! I brought him up, but now he's helping an outsider!"
"Mom, don't blame Hendry for this. It's all Kaylah's fault. If she hadn't misled Hendry, he wouldn't have said those words to you as an obedient son!"
Edith stopped wiping her tears and looked a little hesitant.
"Then what do you think we should do?"
Edith didn't want to be removed from the circle of rich ladies. Many people started to flatter her because Hendry expanded the Lowery Group. But now because of Kaylah, her status suddenly fell, which she wasn't resigned to.
