"Mila, are you going to stay for a while or will you go abroad again?"
Edith gently patted the back of Mila's hand, her eyes full of affection.
Hearing what Edith said, Mila smiled gently, "After all, my parents are getting old. I'm their only daughter, so I will stay in the country to take care of them!"
Hearing this, Edith looked even more satisfied.
"You are really a good child. I envy your parents for having such a good daughter!"
Mila smiled a little modestly.
"Mrs. Lowery, you're flattering me. Your son and daughter are great too. Hendry is young and promising. When I was abroad, I often heard his name!"
Edith and Hendry were still in conflict, but she was Hendry's mother. In the outsiders' eyes, they wouldn't cut ties with each other.
So, when Edith heard Mila's words, she couldn't help but deepen her smile and feel proud.
