"You go first, check the kid y and Alexia first," Kaylah stated as she looked at Aryan. Aryan nodded and hurried off, leaving Kaylah and Hendry alone.
"These ruffians are courting death! How dare they beat you?" Kaylah bawled, her nose wrinkled in anger, and continued, "But rest assured, I'll contact the housekeeper and ensure they wouldn't be able to set foot outside San Francisco with the money."
"No one could hurt you. I will avenge you," Kaylah stated bluntly.
In contrast to Kaylah's indignation, Hendry gazed at Kaylah tenderly as if he wasn't the one who was hurt. He grabbed Kaylah's arm and asked, "Did you just say I am your man?"
"Is it true?" Hendry added, flashing a smile of anticipation.
Kaylah was a little angry in this situation. Her face turned scarlet as she waved off his hand lightly.
"Is it not hurt enough to think about this?" she asked, changing the topic and leaving Hendry's side to check Alexia.
