"I gave you a hundred-day probation, but you know we're not lovers," Kaylah clarified, praying her voice not to quaver.
Kaylah gazed at Hendry, devoid of emotions, as she uttered, "Your injury shouldn't require me to hold you all the way, and you don't have to use what happened earlier to have physical contact with me."
Hearing this, Hendry felt discomfort had swallowed his heart, but he still smiled with a good temper. What else could he possibly do?
People are forced to leave by themselves but he would bring her back to his arms even if he suffers even more.
"I understood. Get in the car." Hendry nodded as he opened the car door for her.
Kaylah frowned slightly and looked at his wound subconsciously. "All right, stop trying to be brave. You're a patient. It's not physical work to open the car door. I'll do some things," she said.
After getting in the car, Kaylah was about to drive to the Lowery's house when someone came.
